The Regional Early Childhood Council is made up of members of the local councils of San Miguel, Ouray, Delta, West Montrose and Montrose. The Regional Council meets four times a year and each local council has two voting members. The Regional Council is funded by a State of Colorado Grant and the director of Bright Futures reports to Denver once a month with the other 29 councils in the state to update them on the progress of our region in early childhood care and education, health, mental health,  and family involvement issues.

This year the Regional Council has formed Operating Principals and a Strategic Plan for the fiscal year July 2008-July 2009.

The Regional Council has also been able to fund local councils to form their own strategic plans and report to the regional council. Please see links to all local councils.
